Chapter THREE
Ep. 19 - Ep. 25
After escaping from Sylvail, our heroes run into Delaelia’s cousin Barron, who is in search of gifts for his two partners on their anniversary. They agree to go back with him to Delaelia’s home, Afonydheuoedd. Here they meet Barron’s partner’s Proia and Asher.
Upon meeting Pria, Theia is instantly smitten and the two spend a respectful but steamy afternoon at the bath house. Afterwards, Barron works his magic on Theia’s hair to give her an new do to match her new badass, adventurer persona. Meanwhile, Feliks and Delaelia explore the armory only to run into Delaelia’s father, Lyrol, and receive an invitation for supper. While Delaelia and Lyrol share a tender, private moment, Feliks stumbles into a mystical Pegasi paddock, where he meets a mysterious child.
Dinner with Delaelia’s parents gets heated when Balastrianna and Princess Theia go toe to toe. When the dust has settled, Delaelia introduces her friends to Nacreous Gale, her family’s Pegasi companion, and informs them that the pegasi are in fact Afonydheuoedd’s greatest kept secret. Then, while everyone else is sleeping, Feliks sneaks into the library to do some investigating of his own
Feliks reads the story of Zendia, a tiefling sorceress and romantic partner to the sun god, Regal. Regal’s youngest brother, Pax, believed Zendia only loved Regal for his power, and so to test her, Pax suggested Zendia steal Regal’s most prized possession: his sword, Lionheart. According to the story, when Zendia stole the sword, she was turned into a Hag, and Regeal, repulsed by her actions and appearance, imprisoned her to the lower plains.
Feliks also reads the story of a traveler who stole a sword from Pax, similar to Silver Tongue, the sword now in Felik’s possession. Silver Tongue tempts Feliks with promises of riches and power, but Feliks is resistant, responding, “That’s not what makes a hero.”
The next morning, Krysta of the sprite brigade makes an early morning appearance with an urgent message. A band of travelers from Highguard has arrived in the forest: Meavery and her husband Seamus, Devlin, Elesarial and Harlow, friends of Theia’s from back in Highguard. The refugees tell of their escape from the city of walls. Things have gone downhill since the disappearance of Princess Theia and Prince Dashing.
Elesarial and Harlow offer Princess Theia conflicting ideas on what our heroes’ next steps should be. Only after reconnecting with Waheia, and receiving some parting gifts, do our heroes solidify their plan: travel to the North Wood, plant the goddess seed, and find the source of whatever is polluting the Portvita River.
